Re-branding and new product development
Oceanario is an oceanarium in Lisbon that is dedicated to conservation. However, the gift shop at Oceanário carried a significant amount of plastic products, in direct contradiction to the Oceanário’s mission.
Oceanario wanted to define a new sustainability concept aligned with its mission and values, and have 95% of its products sustainable by 2020. Daymon developed the concept as well as branding all the way through to product implementation and monitoring. Oceanario launched #SeaTheFuture which enabled customers to act as brand ambassadors on social media, amplifying the message to a wider international audience. The new approach educated the public using engaging, sustainable products and changed consumer’s shopping behaviour. Oceanario saw an immediate uplift in both sales and margin, which was driven by an increased conversion rate and average basket spend.
